Izložba je osmišljena za i održana u Jelsi na otoku Hvaru u sklopu autorskog projekta Ljeto uz knjigu 2021. (Mirna Gott), a svoj drugi postav ostvarila je u Galeriji Kupola Gradske knji
nice u Zagrebu početkom 2022.
Domaćin projekta: Muzej općine Jelsa u suradnji s Općinskom knjižnicom i čitaonicom u Jelsi.
Program je proveden uz potporu Ministarstva kulture i medija Republike Hrvatske u Godini čitanja.
This exhibition has been developed for and displayed in Jelsa on the island of Hvar as a part of the project Summer by the book 2021 (author Mirna Gott). It had its second staging at the Kupola Gallery of the Central City Library in Zagreb at the beginning of 2022.
Project host: Jelsa Municipal Museum in cooperation with Public Library Jelsa.
The program is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia in the Year of Reading.
Putovanje je cilj, Konfucije
Kako izložiti misao? Kako joj se približiti i približiti je drugima? Kako je oblikovati, pripremiti za put koji počinje u glavi autora i završava u oku čitatelja? Kako potaknuti čitanje, promišljanje o pročitanom, o vlastitim mislima? I, na koncu, kako probuditi želju da se misli od onih letimičnih, nevažnih, do nekih ključnih, ali skrivenih, formiraju i artikuliraju?
Upravo ta pitanja postavlja autorski dvojac Gott (tekstovi) / Mack (ilustracije) u procesu osmišljavanja izložbe Izlog u izradi, nastale kao odgovor na neka od njih. Zbirka misli koju koriste kao temelj svojih radova sadrži vrlo osobne definicije svakodnevnih pojmova kao što su sloboda ili prijateljstvo, kao i opservacije jednog vremena. Osim redefiniranja okosnica vlastite osobnosti, zbirka sadrži i bljeskove sjećanja koji su svojevrsna sidra na čijim se je čvrstim uporištima sasvim fluidno i lako prilagođavati potrebama i smjerovima novog životnog perioda.
Ovaj literarno-vizualni eksperiment pažnju posjetitelja angažira oblikovanjem misli kroz više medija: mišlju/riječju, linijom/crtežom te plastičnošću izložaka. Dijelovi izložbe su interaktivni i pozivaju posjetitelje na sudjelovanje u stvaranju vlastite slike onog što gledaju.
Tekstovi, pjesme i misli nastaju od 2018. godine, mnogi u Jelsi, Starom Gradu, na Čornom Petru.

How does one exhibit a thought? How to approach it and make it accessible to others? How to mold it, prepare it for the journey that starts in the author's head and ends in the eye of the reader? How to encourage reading, reflecting on the read, on one's own thoughts? And in the end, how to spark the urge for the thoughts, the fleeting, unimportant ones as well as the key ones, which are so often hidden, to be formulated and articulated?
These are the questions that came to mind to the author duo Gott (texts) / Mack (illustrations) during the process of conceptualizing the exhibition Showcase under Construction, which was created as an attempt to answer some of them. The compendium of thoughts used as the basis of the work contains some very personal definitions of everyday terms and notions such as freedom and friendship, as well as notions of a particular time. Apart from redefining the outlines of one's personality, this compendium contains flashes of memories serving as anchors, on whose firm foundations the ability to adapt to new needs and directions of life's next chapter becomes fluid and easy.
This literary-visual experiment engages the viewers' attention through the shaping of thoughts in different media: thought/word, line/drawing and the plasticity of the exhibits. Parts of the exhibition are interactive, inviting the viewers to create their own picture of the exhibit.
Texts, poems and thoughts are being written down since 2018, many of which are written in Jelsa, Stari Grad, at Čorni Petar.
